FAQ

LiDRS (short for Leadership Development Research and Support) was founded in 2014. LiDRS initially focused only on leadership training based on the LiDRS model® from the book 'Leading up, down and across' (Jochen Hekker ISBN 978). In addition to a regular training offer focused on leadership, management, Crew Resource Management and team building, participants of the long learning path (LiDRS Practitioner Program and LiDRS Master Program) of LiDRS can also become a licensee of the LiDRS® brand and get started in this way. .

The LiDRS model® was created as a result of studying existing scientific models that showed that they do not meet the need to manage operationally on leadership and to give you the opportunity to adjust your leadership style.

The LiDRS model® has therefore filtered the common denominators from the many leadership theories and determined, on the basis of years of study, which elements influence the acquisition of the legitimacy of leadership.

Personality traits, skills and competences are combined and conveniently clustered in 6 simple dashboard meters with which you can adjust your leadership. We call these the 'Key Leadership Features', or KLFs and are described in the book 'Leading up, down and across!'. Each KLF consists of different building blocks on which you can steer. This is especially applicable if you are looking for more depth.

The core of the model is that it provides insight into how you see yourself (self assessment) and how the people surrounding you perceive this. The framework being used are the 6 Key Leadership Features (KLFs) and underlying building blocks. It is precisely the differences differences in your perception and that of others contribute to the insight and potential development of you as a manager.

The outcome of completing the renewed LiDRS model® gives you an overview of how you think you are able to use the building blocks yourself and, with 360 degree feedback, how others think you are able to do this on these building blocks. . The aggregated information ultimately gives you a simple dashboard overview of the 6 KLFs. The strength of the model is in the repetition. By regularly completing the LiDRS model® and asking for feedback, you gain insight into many aspects of leadership and personal development.

The use of the new model works on the basis of SaaS or 'on premises' if this is necessary for company-specific reasons.

Always 'in control'

The model gives one or more 'administration roles' the option of assigning or removing a dashboard flexibly for managers. This way you keep a grip on the number of users.

The strength of the new LiDRS model® lies in its simplicity, intuitive character, targeted content and clear dashboards. In this way, the use of the model becomes a 'journey' that is guided by means of animations.

Each user also receives a clear dashboard that shows progress, trends and training advice.

The LiDRS model® has several unique 'views' that further endorse the added value. For example, specific building blocks of the LiDRS model® are linked to important other leadership theories or improvement processes. For example, at the touch of a button, a simple view can be presented with which, based on the LiDRS model®, you can gain insight into the development of social and emotional intelligence, ownership or leadership at Operational Excellence. Did you know that social-emotional intelligence for managers deliver up to 1% more business results? Well-known theories of Goleman, for example, support this statement.

The essence of increasing ownership is described in the book: 'Enlarge Ownership' by Jochen Hekker. In this, Jochen describes the 4 phases that you go through as a manager to gain more ownership in your team. The LiDRS model® measures the development in each phase of a manager. The LiDRS model® provides insight into how leadership is received and in which areas a manager still needs to develop.

With the renewed LiDRS model® we provide insight into the effectiveness of training courses, we reveal in detail where the individual development of an employee lies and we can show a trend analysis that indicates whether a certain target group or individual is making progress. In accordance with the current zeitgeist, we offer this in a portal with company-specific background. In addition, we can immediately indicate the learning need for each completed model, deliver content that is focused on your development needs and offer concrete advice with targeted training.

The model also provides insight into how you manage and how this is experienced. With this we build on the success of the 360 degree methodology, which is a well-known concept to many.

When you log in for the first time as a user, you can easily create a profile. By means of a few questions we know who you are and what your managerial situation is.

You will then be given the opportunity to assess yourself on the building blocks of the LiDRS model. After a short animation about how the model works, each KLF gives a number of questions with a score on a 5-point scale from 'completely disagree to completely agree'. Of course, each KLF is introduced by a 20-30 second animation about for example; 'what are social qualities'. This reinforces the behavior of a leader. For example, a social leader will speak in public, put an arm on someone's shoulder, while the acting leader makes decisions, acts hard and emphasizes other building blocks from the LiDRS model®.

When the 6 KLFs are ready, a dashboard view is created containing your meters. Then you send others to anonymous feedback. The strength of the model lies in the fact that the feedback takes little time, a short animation is aimed at the feedback provider and the feedback is anonymous at all times. Ultimately, the validation of the feedback is not interesting at all. It is about the deltas between your own input and the perception of your feedback providers. You determine the choice you make in your personal development. After all, that is the essence of 'Self-directed learning'.

Of course, by clicking on the dashboard, you can see the underlying information, how the dashboard is structured. This shows your score per building block, and the average score per building block of your feedback providers. Ultimately, this is the data that is used for the development proposals.
